From 1 July 2016, Medicare benefit cheques are stopping. This means you will need to register your bank account details with the Medicare so your rebate can be paid directly into your bank account – usually the next working day.
You can register your bank account details:
- Online—by using your Medicare online account via myGov, or the Express plus Medicare mobile App
- In person—by lodging a completed bank details form – just ask our reception staff or pick one up in our waiting room.
- Over the phone—by calling 132 011
